We're told, "Dare to dream!" Asked, "What's on your bucket list?" How about, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" when we're little, or "It's never too late," when we're older.
I find myself at the age of 47 with very little in the way of dreams or aspirations. Mostly just New Year's resolution stuff like lose weight, exercise more, have personal devotions on a regular basis, pay off debt, etc.
Why? I want to dream big. How do I change? What are the baby steps I start with to make the little, but never achieved changes of NY's resolutions? How do I find a dream? What's important to me? What am I willing to sacrifice to not just achieve goals, but even admit I have any?
I'm not much of a writer; I'm more of a rambler. I start talking (or typing) and sometimes I just CAN'T! SHUT! UP! But in addition to other baby steps, like go for a short walk twice a week and work my way up to longer distances more frequently, maybe I'll use my live journal or blog to make baby steps in figuring out what my goals are and maybe finding ways to reach them.
For now, the baby step will be to keep it short - not allow myself to get sucked into the temptation to ramble, and to come up with some sort of outline of topics that will serve as a thinking guide.
Let's see what happens...
